Check into the luxurious Mena House Oberoi Hotel in Giza. Relax and acclimate. Opening Circle and walk to village for a dinner at local restaurant. (D) 10/2 Day 3—Morning tour of pyramid complex, starting our path of initiation with a journey to the Sphinx, Guardian of the Mysteries. (BL)
10/4 Day 5—Visit to Cairo Museum and Lunch & shopping at Khan Khalili Bazaar. Evening overnight train to Aswan. (BLD) 10/5 Day 6—Arrive in the morning to Aswan. Check into Movenpick hotel. Afternoon sail to Elephantine Island for an important empowerment at the Temple of Khnum. (B) 10/6 Day 7—Free day.(B) Some options:
10/7 Day 8—Morning initiation to Isis at her island temple at Philae. Check into our boats for our sail down the Nile. Afternoon circle. Free Evening. Visit the excellent Nubian Museum and shop at the Aswan market (BLD) 10/8 Day 9—Free morning in Aswan. This afternoon we circle on deck as we sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple of Sobek and Horus to bring together the forces of dark and light. We sail on to Edfu. (BLD) 10/9 Day 10—Early morning at Edfu, the Temple of Horus, for a powerful experience of the heart. Continue sailing to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes that was the capital of Egypt during its peak. Circle on deck. (BLD) 10/10 Day 11— Early morning visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple and receive Sekhmet initiation at her chapel. Evening visit to Luxor Temple. (BLD)
10/12 Day 13—Visit the necropolis of Thebes, on the west bank of the Nile and explore the tombs of pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings, and the mortuary temples at Medinet Habu and Deir El-Bahari (the temple of Queen Hatshepsut). (BL) 10/13 Day 14—Flight to Cairo and check into the Mena House. (B) 10/14 Day 15—Private visit to the Great Pyramid with culminating initiation in the King's Chamber. Free time for last minute shopping before our closing circle and farewell dinner. 10/11 Day 12— Drive by bus through the beautiful countryside of Egypt to Abydos and the ancient Osirion where you will see the most beautiful reliefs in Egypt. This is also where you will see the "flower of life". Then visit the temple at Dendera where you will visit the exquisite temple dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love and joy.
