Day 1, Tuesday, October 23: Depart for Cairo:

EgyptAir Flight #986 leaves JFK at 6:30 PM. Dinner and overnight on the plane.

Day 2, Wednesday, October 24: Arrive Cairo/ Flight to Aswan/Afandina

Arrival at the Cairo Airport at about 11:25AM local time, where we will be met by our local tour managers. Afternoon flight to Aswan, the mythical origin of the Nile River and the home of Nubian kings and queens during the later dynasties of Egypt, where we will board our beautiful traditional Egyptian sailing boat, the Afandina. (Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3, Thursday, October 25: Afandina/ Elephantine Island

Free morning to relax, sleep in and enjoy the Afandina. In the afternoon we will explore Aswan and sail by felucca to the south end of Elephantine Island for a special initiation and affirmation at the temple of Khnum. Overnight on the Afandina. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4, Friday, October 26: Philae /Temple of Isis/Sail to Kom Ombo

Sunrise meditation and ritual to receive the blessings of Isis at her beautiful island temple at Philae. Later we will gather on deck to share our experiences and discuss our creative projects as we sail to Kom Ombo. Overnight on the Afandina. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5, Saturday, October 27: Kom Ombo/ Sail to Edfu

At Kom Ombo we visit the only dual temple in Egypt, dedicated to two gods – Sobek, the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth, and Horus, the hawk-headed son of Isis and Osiris. Later we continue our sail toward Edfu. Overnight on the Afandina. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 6, Sunday, October 28: Edfu/Nile Sail/Sail to Esna

Early this morning we visit Edfu and the Temple of Horus, one of the most beautifully preserved temples in Egypt. After lunch we will continue our sail to Esna. Overnight on the Afandina. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 7, Monday, October 29: Esna Temple and Village/Nile Sail

Today we visit the Temple of Esna, dedicated to the creative triad of Khnum, Neith and their offspring Hak and Sobek. There will be plenty of time to luxuriate on deck enjoying the timeless Nile beauty as we continue our sail. Overnight on the Dahabeya. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 8, Tuesday, October 30: West Bank/ Tombs of the Pharaohs

Sunrise pilgrimage to Deir el Bahari, the funerary temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, and other West Bank temples including the mortuary temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight on the Afandina. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 9, Wednesday, October 31: Dendera/ Abydos

This morning we head to Dendera where we will visit the exquisite temple dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love and joy, and receive her blessings. We then continue north to the temple at Abydos, dedicated to Osiris and housing the nine great beings (the Ennead). Overnight on the Afandina. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 10, Thursday, November 1: Karnak/Sekhmet/Luxor Temple

Begin the day with an early morning visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple, one of the largest and most magnificent temple complexes in the world. We will hold a private initiation at the nearby small chapel dedicated to Sekhmet, the lion-headed Goddess of compassion and courage. Later you will have some free time to explore the wonders of Luxor’s market, museum and other sites, followed by an evening visit to the Temple of Luxor. Depart the Afandina and check into the Sonesta St. George Hotel in Luxor. (Breakfast)

Day 11, Friday, November 2: Flight to Cairo/Cairo Museum/Khan Bazaar

We will take a morning flight to Cairo, where we will visit the Egyptian Museum of Cairo to view the spiritual legacy of priest kings, queens, scribes and healers. Later we will have lunch and opportunities to shop at the Khan al Khalili Bazaar. Check into the Mena House Hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 12, Saturday, November 3: Sakkara

Step Pyramid at Sakkara

This morning we travel by luxury bus to Sakkara, where we visit the oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, and its temple of sound and healing. Overnight Mena House. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 13, Sunday, November 4: Giza Plateau/Sphinx /King’s Chamber

Begin this day with an amazing private sunrise visit to the Giza Plateau, where we will pay our respects to the Sphinx, the guardian of the Mysteries. This afternoon we will have a special private visit in the Great Pyramid with a culminating initiation inside the King’s chamber. Overnight Mena House (Breakfast)

Day 14, Monday, November 5: Optional Old Cairo Tour /Farewell Dinner

In the morning there is an optional tour of Old Cairo or you can choose to relax at our beautiful hotel. The group will meet in the late afternoon for our closing circle and farewell dinner. (Breakfast and Farewell Dinner)

Day 14, Tuesday, November 6: Farewell to Egypt/ Final Departure

We depart for New York on Egypt Air flight #985 at 10:30AM, and arrive in JFK at 3:25PM. (Breakfast)
